Strasser-Marigaux (SML stopped making saxophones in 1982. However, there are many vintage models of these French made used saxophones selling on auction. The Strasser-Marigaux is a very desirable brand with both great playing and historical value for collectors. Strass-Marigaux (SML) is a French musical instrument company, formerly most well know at one time for making oboes. When SML stopped making saxophones in 1982-1983, it becamse increasingly difficult to get your hands on the really good ones made between 1952 and 1965.
