The Yanagisawa Musical Instrument company has been making wind instruments since 1893. In 1954, Yanagisawa started making their own Saxophones. Very popular are the historical t3 and a3 tenor and alto saxophones from 1954-1956. Then, in the 1960's the 5-series saxophones stormed the musical marketplace. Sonny Rollins owned the first-ever Yanagisawa Sopranino. Yanagisawa saxes have a fascinating history and known in America for excellent sound and quality.
